Please see the following press release  regarding a dealership’s failure to implement a chemical hazard communication program; the improper storage of flammable liquids; as well as allowing unapproved electrical receptacles and equipment to be used in a hazardous area. As a result of the violations, three employees died and two more were injured at the Alabama dealership.

Please review and update:

1. The dealership’s hazardous communication program.
2. Label the hazardous chemicals.
3. Retain the MSDS (material safety data sheets) and make them accessible at all times.
4. Train employees on the proper use of the chemicals used in the workplace.
